Carney, Canada's PM, pays Trump a visit at the White House tomorrow. The purpose is likely not to negotiate new terms for either NAFTA or USMCA but rather to inform him that our old relationship is over. A new world order is rising sans-America. Elbows Up!

Yes, I expect Carney will firmly state the boundaries of the new relationship with Canada and put the situation on a 'take it or leave it' basis.

Trump will bluster and lie, but reality will be undeniable.

World leaders are smirking about Trump's behaviour. He has become a joke. Even the Japanese, who are normally very polite, are expressing their outrage.

Xi and Putin, who are very serious, must be pleased to see Trump destroying his own credibility.

Bullies lose, eventually.
