My grandson is doing Engineering/IT at QUT in Brisbane and it seems high quality.
Unis are being a lot smarter now with podcasts and online materials, which can be more efficient than trying to cram large groups of students into lecture halls.
I do wonder if Australia is favouring quantity over quality in our chasing overseas students. Anecdotally, from press reports, the standard of our degrees is possibly dropping as our universities are becoming sausage factories. Students may be being herded through their courses. Works in the short term but at the cost of lowering the standard and diminishing the expectations leading to reduction in flow of overseas students.
